279 mm (11 inch) guns (m.1867 and m.1877) were widely used from 1860s to 1900s. In fact they were the most powerful guns of russian coastal artillery till 1890s. Most of them were scrapped till 1920s
The barrel of this particular gun was made by Krupp in 1870 and has No 4. In 1900 it was converted from m.1867 into m.1877 at Obukhovsky steel works
